Norm has 20 years of experience in civil litigation, specifically in construction, insurance,
and commercial matters. In the construction field, he represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors
and consultants when projects get litigious. In his insurance practice, he acts as defence counsel in
professional negligence and directors and officers liability actions. He provides representation under
commercial general liability policies, condominium, and other property and casualty policies.
Norm represents both employers and employees in employment-related matters.
Norm is a native of Ottawa. Il a complété ses études élémentaire et secondaire dans la langue française avec
le Conseil des écoles française séparé et publique d'Ottawa. Norm peut vous rendre service en français.
He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989, after receiving his LL.B. in 1987 and his B.A. in 1984, both from
the University of Ottawa. Norm practiced at both local and national law firms before he founded Carroll Simpson
LLP with Pat Simpson.
Norm is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocate's Society, the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ottawa Construction Association, the Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association, and an associate
member of the Ottawa Valley Adjusters Association. |
