Shannon is currently the articling student at Carroll Simpson LLP. She adheres to a thorough, detailed approach to analyzing issues and she cheerfully applies her skills to help out wherever she’s needed in the office. In law school, Shannon’s strengths in research and writing led her to win the law library quiz and earn a nomination for best upper-year paper. Shannon has also presented one of her papers in Barcelona, Spain at the European Consortium for Political Research annual graduate conference.
Raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Shannon earned her B.A. in English from the University of Regina. She broadened her horizons with a B.A. in International Development from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia before entering law school at the University of Windsor. Shannon graduated with her LL.B. in 2009 and is excited to embark on her career.
Shannon’s professional activities include being a student member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ontario branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, especially comics and manga; costuming; practicing Wing Chun kung fu; and planning her next travel adventure.
