Pat has more than a dozen years of experience in civil litigation, specifically in insurance, construction,
commercial, and employment matters. In the insurance field she acts as defence, coverage, and subrogation
counsel in relation to professional liability, directors and officers, commercial general liability, business,
homeowners, tenants, and motor vehicle policies of insurance. In the construction field, she acts for
general contractors, subcontractors, owners and consultants. She advises institutions, corporations,
and individuals when they experience problems with their business and employment relationships. She can also help to resolve your estate and property disputes effectively and efficiently.
Pat was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997, after receiving her law degree from the University of Toronto
in 1995 and an arts degree from the University of Waterloo in 1992. Pat practiced in Ottawa at both
local and national law firms before she founded Carroll Simpson LLP with Norm Carroll.
Pat is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocate's Society, the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ottawa Construction Association, The Canadian Bar Association, the Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association and an associate
member of the Ottawa Valley Adjusters Association. |
